that's always important to know.Īnother log file which might be helpful is the FSUIPC4 Install log. You fail to mention the version of FSUIPC you are using.
If no log is being produced then FSUIPC4 is not even getting loaded, which either means it isn't in the DLL.XML file correctly - a reinstall should fix that unless the DLL.XML file is correct - or it means your Simconnect installation is corrupted. Show me that log (you can paste it here). if one is being produced each time you run FSX, then FSX is being loaded and ryun. Check for an FSUIPC4 Log file in the Modules folder. If FSUIPC4 cannot add its menu via Simconnect it either means FSUIPC4 is not actually being loaded and run, or it is being loaded but is failing to connect correctly to SimConnect.

Does anyone know how to remedy this problem? I have tried to reinstall FSUIPC4 but still don't have any luck. I dont know if I have done something silly. This means that I can no longer connect to IVAO or have access to FSUIPC4. Since yesterday my module button in the main menu bar has disappeared. I fly online quite a bit with IVAO and connect in the usual way.

If you don't know how to do this, send me both your EXE.XML and DLL.XML in a ZIP file by email, and I'll show you why and where they were corrupted, and fix them for you.I have had a strange occurrence with FSX. Of course, it will be still corrupted, which means the real solution should be fixing the corruption first, then running our installer. So, if you go into your %APPDATA%\Microsoft\FSX folder, and copy the DLL.XML_Before_Addon_Manager.XML over the DLL.XML file, you will get back your original DLL.XML as it was BEFORE installing KLAS. Your old file has been renamed as: DLL.XML_Before_Addon_Manager.XML" "A new and correct DLL.XML file has been created. As soon as you agreed to create a new XML file, the installer gave you this exact message: The installer didn't do anything on his own, it told you about the existing situation of already having a corrupted XML, and offered you the CHOICE to overwrite it, to create a new one, which you agreed to.īut of course, the installer HAS made a backup of it, and it also TOLD YOU. Your XML file was ALREADY corrupted before running our installer so, what resulted you losing your previously installed modules, was the combination of having a corrupted XML file in the first place (could be caused by another defective installer that you ran previously, or because you tried to hand-edit it, making a mistake) AND having AGREED to let our installer to create a brand new one. The product hasn't "ruined" your FSX, of course.
